SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – Palmeiras and Flamengo will contest the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores final in an all-Brazilian showdown, marking a highly anticipated clash between the nation’s top two teams. Flamengo currently leads the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A standings, with palmeiras in second place. Despite a 3-0 first-leg defeat, Palmeiras rallied to win 4-3 on aggregate, with raphael Veiga sealing their place in the final with a penalty at the Allianz Parque.

A hard-fought semi-final against Racing Club was decided by an 88th-minute goal from Jorge Carrascal at the Maracanã Stadium.
League-leading Flamengo, under the guidance of head coach Filipe Luís – who concluded his playing career in Rio de janeiro and took the helm in 2024 – is aiming for the national-continental double for the second time in club history, a feat last achieved in 2019.
