Aston Martin aramco F1 Restructures leadership for 2026 Power Unit Transition
Silverstone,UK – November 26,2025 – Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team today announced a meaningful restructuring of its leadership team in preparation for the introduction of its new Aramco-partnered power unit in the 2026 season. Key changes include the appointment of pierre Ferrier as Chief Technical Officer, effective promptly, and the restructuring of responsibilities within the existing technical department.
This strategic overhaul aims to streamline operations and accelerate development as the team transitions to manufacturing its own power units, ending its current partnership with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains. The move underscores Aston Martin’s commitment to becoming a fully integrated works team and competing at the highest level of Formula One. The restructuring impacts several key roles, including those of Dan Fallows (Technical Director, Aerodynamics) and Eric Blandin (Deputy Technical Director, Chassis).
Ferrier joins Aston Martin from Red Bull powertrains, bringing with him extensive experience in Formula One engine development. His appointment is central to the team’s ambition to establish a world-class power unit facility at its Silverstone base. “Pierre brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in powertrain development, which will be invaluable as we embark on this exciting new chapter,” said Mike Krack, Team Principal of Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team.
