CLINTON,⁢ NY – The Hamilton College Continentals dropped a hard-fought road game‍ to SUNY delhi 76-72 on Wednesday, November 22. Despite a strong performance on the ‍glass and a ⁤career-high scoring night from Peter Reese ’27, Hamilton was unable to overcome a hot ⁢shooting second half from the Broncos.

Reese led the continentals with ‌22 points and 12 rebounds, marking his second double-double of the season. He⁤ also secured a career-best nine offensive rebounds. Teammate David Melson registered​ his⁢ frist career double-double, ‌contributing 10 points and a season-high 11 rebounds.

Delhi’s strong second-half performance was fueled by guard Mohamed Ibrahim, who scored 23 of his 29 total points after halftime, ⁤including six 3-pointers and a crucial ⁢four-point play. The broncos shot 6-of-11 (54.55%) from beyond the arc in the second half and ⁢converted 22 of ​27 free ‌throw attempts for the game.

Hamilton battled back from a⁣ late deficit, tying the ‍game at 62 with 2:36 remaining after Raub​ converted two free throws. However, Delhi responded with a 7-0 run, capped by a 3-pointer from Ibrahim, to regain the lead. The ‌Continentals continued to fight, cutting the deficit to four points with ⁣14 seconds left on a reverse layup by Melson, but a late fastbreak dunk sealed the victory for the Broncos.

The Continentals recorded a season-high⁢ 22 free throws⁢ made and attempted 31, but struggled from 3-point range, shooting a season-low 16%‍ (4-of-25). Hamilton also finished with 23 offensive rebounds, the second-most in the⁤ last four seasons.

Adan Madera added 16 points for SUNY Delhi, ‌while Harvey and Noah Colin contributed 15 and ⁣12 points, respectively. Rideout dished out a​ season-high five‌ assists for Hamilton.

Hamilton falls to 2-3 on the season and will continue its road trip,traveling to Franklin and​ Marshall College on November 30 for a 2 p.m.‌ non-conference⁢ matchup.
