Federica brignone Returns to Snow in Latest Recovery Milestone
Cervinia, Italy - In a significant step forward in her recovery, Italian skiing champion Federica Brignone has returned to the snow. This marks 237 days since her injury sustained during a fall at the Italian Championships on April 3rd, which resulted in fractures to the tibial plateau and head of the fibula in her left leg.
Rehabilitation Progress
Brignone recently completed the initial phase of physical rehabilitation at the JMedical facility in Turin. Following a positive assessment from the FISI Medical Commission, she was cleared to begin incorporating on-snow training into her program.
Today, the World Cup winner traveled to Cervinia, where she completed introductory touring ski runs alongside federal technicians. This new phase of rehabilitation focuses on rebuilding stability and confidence, achieved through a balanced regimen of gym work and further snow outings in the coming weeks.
