Angèle and Minister Simonet Recognized in Forbes Belgium’s “30 under 30” List
Forbes Belgium has released its annual “30 Under 30” list, spotlighting the nation’s most promising young entrepreneurs, scientists, creatives, and leaders. This year’s selection includes a diverse range of individuals excelling in fields like finance, science, marketing, fashion, industry, and art. Notably, ten of the thirty honorees are residents of Brussels.
Among those recognized are Federal Minister for the Middle Classes, Self-employed and SMEs Eléonore Simonet (MR), and internationally acclaimed pop artist Angèle. Their inclusion highlights the breadth of talent represented on the list, extending beyond the business world to encompass public service and the arts.
Several other Brussels-based individuals were also featured. Maxime Loison, 27, co-founder of the online candy retailer my American Shop, earned a spot, as did Germain deflandre, the 22-year-old CEO of SEO consultancy MentionBox. Lionel Janssens, responsible for marketing and communications for the luxury and sports brands within car group D’Ieteren’s retail division, was also selected.
The list further includes fashion designer Marie-Adam Leenaerdt (a La Cambre alumna), Marvin Ndiaye, founder of food delivery service Fresheo, the founding duo of architectural firm Erased Studio – Paul-Emile de Smedt and Elliott housiaux – and Robbe Vandewyngaerde, co-founder of the design and art gallery Objects With Narratives.
Rounding out the Brussels representation are athletes Jérémy Doku (trained at RSC Anderlecht) and cyclist Remco Evenepoel.
A jury comprised of Forbes editors evaluated the candidates. The honorees will be officially celebrated at the “30 Under 30 Summit” on Friday at the Winter Circus in Ghent, an event sponsored by billionaire Marc Coucke, owner of RSCA.
