Holiday Concert Vibrates with joy at St. Mary’s School for the Deaf
BUFFALO, NY – November 25, 2025 – The annual buffalo Philharmonic orchestra (BPO) holiday concert brought a wave of music and cheer to students at St. Mary’s School for the Deaf today, transforming the auditorium into a vibrant, immersive experience. The performance, a long-standing tradition, offered a unique sensory engagement for students, many of whom experience music through vibrations.
This year’s concert holds particular significance as it underscores the importance of inclusive arts experiences for students with hearing impairments. The event provides a vital chance for these children to connect with music in a deeply personal way, fostering a sense of community and joy. The BPO’s commitment to this annual performance ensures continued access to the arts for a population often underserved by traditional musical presentations.
“Even our kids who have some hearing, you can really feel the vibrations in the air,” shared a parent during the event. “It truly becomes a whole-body experience.”
The concert concluded with a special visit from Santa Claus, who delighted the students with holiday greetings and smiles. The BPO musicians return each year to participate in the cherished tradition, demonstrating a dedication to sharing the joy of music with the students and staff of St. Mary’s School for the Deaf.
