Title: Omaha Snow Forecast: Potential Weekend System & Snow Amounts

by David Harrison – Chief Editor

Omaha⁤ could see its first snowfall of the‍ season this Tuesday, November 25th, with a 50% chance of ⁤accumulation. While a widespread‌ snowfall is expected,‌ the potential for critically important ⁢amounts varies across the region.

The forecast indicates ⁢a 20% probability of 4 inches or more of snow⁤ falling. Areas north of Omaha, notably beyond Carroll, Iowa, have a higher likelihood of receiving 3 to 4 inches-estimated between 30-50%. Conversely, locations south of‌ Omaha⁤ currently show a less ⁢than 50% chance of accumulating more than 2 inches. The liquid-to-snow ratio is projected at ‍10:1,⁣ meaning 10 parts⁢ liquid water will create 1 part snow.

Following the anticipated snowfall Saturday night, a significant temperature drop is forecast. Lows are expected to reach 8 to 12 ‍degrees Fahrenheit by⁢ Sunday and Monday mornings, with wind chills⁢ perhaps dipping near zero during those days and Tuesday.‌ A secondary, smaller system may⁤ bring additional snow on Monday, ⁣though its track currently suggests it could remain confined ⁤to Kansas and Missouri.
