IC Trains to operate with Replacement Wagons on November 25, 2025
WARSAW, POLAND – Passengers traveling on select Intercity (IC) trains on November 25, 2025, should prepare for potential seating adjustments due to the deployment of replacement wagon sets.PKP Intercity announced today that several trains will operate with different configurations than originally scheduled, impacting the availability of wheelchair-accessible wagons adn catering services.
The changes stem from necessary fleet adjustments and may result in passengers being allocated seats differing from those indicated on their tickets. PKP Intercity advises travelers to consult data posted on carriage doors for accurate seating details. Affected routes and train compositions include: IC No. 23108/9 ”WAWELSKI DRAGON” (Lublin Główny – Kraków Główny) with one 1st class and three 2nd class wagons; IC No. 1320/1 “KARŁOWICZ” (Warszawa Wschodnia – Kraków Main) with one 1st class and five 2nd class wagons; IC nr 3122/3 “KINGA” (Kraków Główny – Warszawa Wschodnia) with one 1st class and four 2nd class wagons; IC nr 32108/9 “WAWELSKI DRAGON” (Kraków Główny – Lublin Główny) with one 1st class and three 2nd class wagons. Notably, none of these trains will include a wagon adapted for wheelchair users.
However, some services will offer accessibility. IC nr 26102/3 “ŁEMPICKA” (Lublin Główny – Wrocław Główny) and IC nr 62102/3 “ŁEMPICKA” (Wrocław Główny – Lublin Główny) both include a wagon adapted to transport disabled people in wheelchairs, alongside one 1st class, one 1st/2nd class, and five 2nd class wagons. IC nr 1508/9 “BRDA” (warszawa Wschodnia - Bydgoszcz Główna) also features a wheelchair-accessible wagon within its configuration of two 1st class and six 2nd class wagons.
PKP Intercity acknowledges the potential inconvenience and emphasizes passengers’ right to submit complaints regarding travel comfort. The company has issued a formal apology for the disruption.
