Yeoncheon Youth Gain Experiential Learning Through Foundation Programs
Yeoncheon-gun, South Korea – The Yeoncheon-gun Youth Growth Foundation has concluded a series of triumphant experiential learning programs focused on environmental awareness, e-sports, and ecological exploration, equipping local youth with critical skills for the future. the initiatives, spanning November 19th to 25th, underscore the foundation’s commitment to fostering well-rounded development among Yeoncheon’s young citizens.
These programs aim to cultivate future leaders by providing hands-on experiences in rapidly evolving fields. From November 19th to 21st, 26 students from the Neuldasom Youth After-School Academy participated in the ‘Heart of the Earth, Marine Ecosystem Exploration Camp’ on Jeju Island. The camp integrated marine surroundings research, team-based challenges, and creative problem-solving exercises designed to enhance scientific inquiry and collaborative abilities.Safety protocols and hygiene guidelines were rigorously enforced throughout the program,allowing participants to directly engage with and appreciate the natural world.
Earlier in the week, the foundation hosted an e-sports competition, further diversifying the opportunities available to Yeoncheon youth. These initiatives reflect a broader strategy to strengthen educational foundations in environmental science, digital literacy, and broader scientific fields.
“Yeoncheon-gun youth are growing into leading figures of the future society through various experiences,” stated chairman Kim. “We will do our best to develop the capabilities of local youth by further strengthening the educational foundation encompassing the environment, digital, and science fields.”
The foundation is currently accepting applications for a full-time executive director, with a deadline of December 10th at 6 p.m. The position requires candidates to possess qualifications such as level 5 or higher civil servant experience, full-time director-level experience at investment/contribution organizations, or a doctoral degree.
