Solingen cycling Club hosts Bike Film Tour Event
SOLINGEN – The OLX Cycling Club of solingen-Ohligs will present a film and facts evening on Thursday, November 27th, at 7 p.m. at Maku, located at Prinzenstraße 2a. The event, featuring the Bike Film Tour, aims to inspire cyclists with ideas for trips, club activities, and a broader understanding of cycling as a sport, mode of transportation, and lifestyle.
Founded in 2023, the OLX Cycling Club offers regular racing bike and gravel rides, positioning itself as a modern, accessible club without traditional structures. Weekly rides depart from Solingen main station – racing bike tours on Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6 p.m., and gravel tours on Thursdays at 6 p.m. The club also organizes workshops and bikepacking weekends, welcoming cyclists of all abilities.
According to Nils Bauroth of OLX Cycling, a successful event could lead to an even larger iteration next year.
