Jeremy Parisi, husband of “I’m A celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” star Kelly Brook, has spoken out against online trolls targeting his wife, admitting it’s been “hard” to watch her face criticism while he’s been unable to support her directly. Parisi’s comments come after Brook addressed viewers’ negativity regarding her appearance upon arriving in Australia last week to join the ITV reality show.
Brook, 46, pleaded with viewers to accept her current physique, stating, “Obviously, I am not a 20-year-old bikini model anymore. You know, life changes and your body changes. And I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now, and not comparing me to how I used to look.” She also expressed confidence in her body, noting she had “embraced” her curves and felt in good shape, having even completed a marathon this year.
Parisi expressed his distress at missing Brook’s birthday, which fell on sunday, marking the first time in ten years thay haven’t celebrated together. He is scheduled to fly to Australia on Monday for belated celebrations. He described his wife as “gorgeous” and voiced his upset at not being there to offer support as she navigates the challenges of the jungle.
The emotional strain has been compounded by seeing Brook become tearful after receiving a picture of him and their dog, Teddy, in the Bush Telegraph.Brook recently became the first celebrity to use the jungle shower, an experience cut short after she discovered leeches in the water. Before entering camp, Brook had a small birthday celebration with her colleagues at Heart Radio.
