Hanwha’s Moon Dong-ju Shatters​ KBO⁣ Velocity Record, KIA’s Choi Hyung-woo ‍Reaches ⁣Historic Milestones

Suwon, South ​Korea – Hanwha Eagles pitcher ‍Moon Dong-ju, 21, ⁤etched his name into ⁢KBO League history on September 20th, unleashing a fastball clocked at 161.4 km/h during a game against the KT Wiz in Suwon. This record-breaking pitch surpasses his own previous⁣ league-best of 160.7 km/h,set on August 5th against ⁤KT in Daejeon,solidifying his position as Korea’s premier fastball ‌pitcher.⁤

Alongside moon’s velocity milestone, KIA Tigers veteran Choi Hyung-woo, ‌42, enjoyed a record-setting season, becoming the ‌first‌ player in KBO League history to accumulate 4,300 total bases and 1,700 runs batted in.
