Chelsea’s Cole ‌Palmer Suffers Toe Fracture in Home‍ Accident, Ruled Out of Upcoming Matches

Chelsea forward Cole ⁣Palmer, 23, will miss the club’s next three ⁢fixtures after fracturing a⁣ toe in an accident at home, ‍manager Enzo Maresca confirmed Friday. The injury complicates Palmer’s recovery from a two-month absence due to a groin injury.

“Regrettably he had a little accident at home. ⁢He kicked his toe but it’s nothing serious but he won’t be back next week without ⁢a doubt,” ⁣Maresca said ahead ‍of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Burnley. “It’s lame, but not too much. The‍ problem is⁣ that it’s a little ‌toe, so in football boots ‍the ⁣contact with the shoe can be quite painful.”

Palmer was nearing ‌a return from the groin ⁣injury before the incident.⁤ Chelsea is scheduled to host Barcelona in the Champions League next week, followed by a Premier League match against Arsenal ⁢at the weekend.

“Such things happen,” Maresca added.”I’ve also woken up ‍many times in ⁣the night and hit ⁢my head, my leg, everywhere on the way to the toilet.”
