The duo stepped in on a recent episode of *Collision* after Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell withdrew from a scheduled match, and subsequently delivered a well-received eight-minute bout on the following week’s show.
This unexpected showcase has quickly positioned World and Hyan as prospects within AEW,despite currently not being under contract. Their ability to capitalize on a chaotic situation and impress company officials has fueled internal discussions about their potential future with the promotion, signaling a possible fast track to full-time roles.
Sources within AEW confirmed that World and Hyan were brought in at the last second to replace Alize and newell, who opted not to perform due to a reduced match time. “The two got a last-minute match on a recent *Collision* when Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell opted not to perform, and then ended up getting an eight-minute match on the next week’s *Collision*. Those we spoke to in AEW say it was a direct result of how well they handled the prior week,” a source stated.
Currently unsigned, both wrestlers are generating internal momentum. “It was confirmed that Maya World and Hyan are not signed by All Elite Wrestling, but it was claimed that the company has had heavy interest in using them moving forward,” according to sources.
