Yeosu City Announces KRW 1.4825 Trillion Budget for 2026, Prioritizing Family-Amiable Initiatives
Yeosu, South korea – Yeosu City officials have submitted a proposed budget of KRW 1.4825 trillion (approximately $1.13 billion USD) for 2026, marking a KRW 200 million increase over the current year’s main budget. The plan outlines a strategic focus on bolstering family welfare programs and securing national support for ongoing expansion projects, signaling a commitment to establishing Yeosu as an ideal city for raising children.
the budget allocation reflects a broader city administration operation direction centered on improving quality of life for residents and fostering future growth. KRW 1.3555 trillion is designated for general accounting, while KRW 127 billion will be allocated to special accounting. Key initiatives funded include the pursuit of national plan inclusion for the city’s expansion project, the establishment of public postpartum care centers, and the construction of the Yeosu Dream Sea Children‘s Library.
