Trump Claims Saudi Crown Prince Had No knowledge of Khashoggi Murder, Deflects on Business Ties
Washington D.C. – During a press conference today, former President Donald Trump asserted that Saudi Crown prince Mohammed bin Salman had “no knowledge” of the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The statement came as an ABC News journalist pressed Trump on the appropriateness of his family’s business dealings with saudi Arabia while he was in office, and in light of the Crown Prince’s visit to the White House.
Trump downplayed his involvement with the Trump Organization, stating he has “nothing” to do with its operations, which he claimed conduct “little” business with Saudi Arabia despite having ventures “all over.” He emphasized his sole focus remains on “America.”
