Alzheimer Café Offers Support Following Dementia Diagnosis – november 25
VALKENSWAARD/WAALRE – Individuals and families grappling with a recent dementia diagnosis are invited to a supportive evening at the Alzheimer Café on November 25. The event will feature expert insights from clinical geriatrician mrs. E. Scheepers and physician assistant Mr. M. van der Velden of the Catharina Hospital, addressing common questions and concerns surrounding a diagnosis.
A dementia diagnosis profoundly impacts both those living with the condition and their loved ones, raising questions about how to navigate the changes ahead, understand what to expect, and ensure respectful care. The Alzheimer Café provides a safe and informal environment to explore these challenges and connect with others facing similar circumstances.The speakers will aim to address as many of these questions as possible, offering professional guidance and support.
The Alzheimer café will be held in the café hall De Dommelstroom, located at Bergstraat 32 in Dommelen. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the program running from 7:30 PM to approximately 9:00 PM. Admission is free.
