POMONA, CA – November 16, 2024 – Championship Sunday has arrived at the in-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals at Pomona Raceway, promising dramatic conclusions to several NHRA Mission Foods Series titles. Competition begins at 11:00 a.m. with live coverage set to air on FS1 at 5:00 p.m. (ET).
In Top Fuel, 16 drivers have won races this season and 11 have appeared in at least one final. Tasca III, Wilkerson, DeJoria, and NHRA Rookie of the Year contender Hyde are poised to contend for wins.
The Pro Stock championship hangs in the balance between KB Titan Racing teammates Dallas Glenn and Greg Anderson. Glenn holds a 92-point lead and will be crowned champion if he defeats David Cuadra in the first round. Glenn and Anderson have collectively secured 14 of 17 event victories this season, with Erica Enders, Greg Stanfield, and Cory Reed each earning a single win. Additional Pro Stock matchups include Jeg Coughlin Jr. vs. Troy Coughlin Jr., Greg Anderson vs. Cristian Cuadra, Matt Hartford vs.Matt Latino, and Erica Enders vs. Greg Stanfield.
Pro Stock Motorcycle’s title chase is exceptionally tight, with just 21 points separating leader Richard Gadson from teammate Gaige Herrera. The championship will likely be decided by which rider advances furthest in eliminations, perhaps culminating in a winner-take-all showdown. Gadson faces Brad Hawkes in round one, while Herrera will race Fred Camarena.
In Top Alcohol Dragster, Joey Severance must win the event to prevent Shawn Cowie from repeating as champion. Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol funny Car classes completed one round of eliminations on Thursday.
