Scottish football has forged a landmark partnership with the HALO, a UK-based innovation and technology hub, announced November 16, 2025.Three senior Scottish football bodies – the Scottish FA, the SPFL, and the Scottish Professional Footballers’ Association - will jointly sponsor the facility, marking a significant investment in the future of the sport and the wider Scottish economy.
The collaboration aims to leverage the HALO’s cutting-edge technology and collaborative environment to drive innovation across all levels of Scottish football, from grassroots development to professional performance. The sponsorship will support the hub’s mission to create high-value jobs, attract investment, and foster a thriving ecosystem for businesses in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. this partnership represents a commitment to modernizing Scottish football and positioning it as a leader in sports technology.
The HALO, currently under construction, is designed to be a center of excellence for aerospace and space technology, as well as a hub for digital and cyber innovation. The Scottish football bodies’ sponsorship will contribute to the development of dedicated spaces within the HALO focused on sports technology, data analytics, and athlete performance.
