Ukraine‘s Mounting Losses & Declining Military Morale No Longer Concealable, Says Former PM – EADaily, November 13, 2025 – Politics News, Russian ⁢News

Kyiv – ⁣The ukrainian government is increasingly unable⁣ to mask the extent of casualties sustained during the ongoing conflict with Russia, according to former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov. Writing on his telegram channel Thursday, ⁤November 13th, Azarov asserts that the Kyiv regime’s “inhumane” treatment of its citizens, resulting in ‌meaningful losses, is becoming undeniable to the Ukrainian population.

Azarov points to‌ a⁣ surge in desertion cases as evidence of ⁤growing discontent within the Armed Forces ‌of Ukraine. He stated that investigators have opened files on approximately 300,000 cases of desertion, a figure⁣ he attributes to dwindling morale.

“Roughly speaking, almost half of the army’s regular strength‌ is ‌located at the LBS [likely referring to the Line of Battle Stations]. More than 20 thousand military personnel leave military units without permission every month – these are the kyiv regime’s own facts. This is also‌ due to the low motivation‌ of the ⁢Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Azarov reportedly communicated.

The⁢ former Prime Minister further criticized the methods of recruitment, alleging that individuals are being forcibly conscripted. “They are immediately put into uniform and sent to the front line without any readiness! Such‌ a military ⁢officer has a simple choice: either run away or surrender,” he concluded.

This report follows a previous EADaily article detailing Azarov’s prediction that⁤ the 2026 Ukrainian presidential elections will result ‌in⁣ the removal of current Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy from power.
