Notre Dame‘s men’s golf program bolstered its roster with the signing of highly-regarded prospect, Jack Oberle, the athletics department announced today. The addition of Oberle signals the program’s continued commitment to recruiting elite talent as it prepares for the upcoming fall season.
Oberle arrives in South Bend with an extraordinary competitive resume, highlighted by a top-five finish at the Australian Boys Amateur Championship and a sixth-place result at the Junior World Championships. He also demonstrated his skills against collegiate competition,securing 11th place at the Australian Men’s Amateur Championship and a top-20 finish at the 2025 Boys Junior PGA Championship.
“To be recruited at an institution like notre Dame means you have to be elite in all areas,” said assistant coach Ryan Handrigan.”Outside of on-course performance, it takes being highly committed to academics, being a great teammate, having incredible character, and a willingness to be a part of something bigger than yourself to succeed here. Oberle intends to major in business while pursuing his athletic career at Notre Dame.His signing adds depth and potential to a program consistently striving for national prominence.
