MISSISSAUGA,ON – Authorities are investigating after a senior citizen was discovered with limb injuries in Lewis Bradley Park on Tuesday.The woman, whose age has not been released, was found by a passerby and transported to hospital. The circumstances surrounding her injuries remain unclear, and police are actively working to determine what occurred.
The incident has prompted concern among residents and a review of recent wildlife activity in the area. While the cause of the woman’s injuries is currently unconfirmed,investigators are considering all possibilities,including potential interactions with local wildlife. This case underscores the importance of vigilance in public spaces and highlights the need for community awareness regarding potential safety risks.
CTV News Toronto contacted the city of Mississauga for data regarding aggressive coyote reports. According to a statement from the municipality,they have “no information to confirm what caused the woman’s injuries.”
The city reported ten coyote incidents in Mississauga this year, all involving domestic animals – dogs or cats. No incidents have been reported in ward 2, where Lewis Bradley Park is located, in 2025. Irene McCutcheon, a city spokesperson, confirmed this information.
Currently, the City of Mississauga has not issued any wildlife sighting advisories for the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
