Dutch entertainer Kees Tol has revealed he is in a relationship with an American man, named Buddy, during a recent appearance on the popular travel program Fortunately We Still Have The Photos. The confession came with a degree of vulnerability, as Tol admitted the logistical challenges and emotional anxieties surrounding a long-distance romance.
“I met someone a while back and I fell in love with him,” Tol shared with host Humberto Tan, visibly blushing. “His name is Buddy and he is an American.” He acknowledged the complexity of the situation, stating, ”It’s complicated because he lives on the other side of the world.”
Tol, who resides in the close-knit village of Volendam, Netherlands, expressed his commitment to remaining in his hometown. He pondered Buddy’s reaction to the small-town atmosphere, contrasting it with his life in a large American city. “He comes from a big city, and then you end up in Volendam. I find that very exciting.”
Tol highlighted the appeal of their differences. “Even though they are both completely different from each other, that is what appeals to him,” he said, adding, “He is also a dark man.”
