Ferrari President Elkann⁤ Issues Stark ⁣Warning to Drivers After disappointing Brazilian Grand prix

São Paulo, Brazil – Ferrari president John Elkann delivered a scathing critique⁣ of his team’s performance and directly⁣ challenged ⁢drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton following a disastrous Brazilian⁢ Grand ⁣Prix. Both drivers were eliminated from the race, contributing to ⁤a weekend ⁢Elkann described as a “huge disappointment.”

The Ferrari boss, 49, addressed ‌Italian media, ⁢acknowledging improvements in the ⁣car’s mechanics and⁢ engineering but stating that other areas are “lagging behind.” He specifically called on Leclerc and Hamilton to prioritize driving performance over external dialog. “Our ‌drivers definitely need to concentrate on driving and talk less, because we still have vital races‌ ahead ‌of us and second place⁣ is definitely possible,” Elkann stated.

Ferrari currently sits fourth in the constructors’ championship, trailing Red Bull. With two ‌races ⁢remaining, Mercedes is 36 points ahead of Ferrari, and only four points behind third-placed Red Bull. The team’s struggles this season have prompted Elkann’s public address as they attempt to salvage a second-place finish⁣ in the championship.
