Title: NECBA Club Baseball Loses Playoff Game to UMaine

Lynn, MA ⁤- A​ late rally by⁢ UMaine ⁢Club Baseball ended‌ the playoff‌ run for NECBA Club Baseball​ in a heartbreaking⁣ 7-6 ‍defeat⁤ in the NECBA Semifinals ⁣on Wednesday.⁣ The Black Bears’ walk-off victory‍ dashed the⁤ Terriers’ hopes of ‍reaching the NECBA Championship ⁢game.

The NECBA Club Baseball team finished ⁤their fall season with a‍ 13-9 ⁢record, marked by ⁢significant wins and ‌memorable moments. ⁢This semifinal appearance underscored the program’s​ growth and competitiveness⁤ within the ​New‌ England Club Baseball Association. Despite the loss, the Terriers demonstrated resilience ​throughout the tournament and established a foundation for future success.

The⁣ game⁢ remained scoreless through the‍ first two⁣ innings ‍before UMaine broke the tie with a single run in⁣ the bottom‌ of​ the‌ third. The⁢ Black Bears⁤ extended their advantage‍ to 3-0 ‌with⁣ two runs‌ in the ⁢fourth,but NECBA responded in the fifth,narrowing the gap to 3-2.

NECBA continued their⁢ momentum⁤ into the sixth inning, ‌scoring⁢ four additional runs to take⁢ a 6-4 lead. However, UMaine answered back in the bottom of the seventh, plating three runs to secure a 7-6 walk-off ‍victory and eliminate the ‌terriers from ​playoff contention.

Despite the disappointing end‍ to their season,NECBA Club baseball’s 13-9 record reflects ⁤a prosperous fall ‌campaign and a promising outlook for the⁤ future of the‍ program.
