Lehigh Heads To Morgantown For Road Test at West Virginia
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Lehigh will face a notable challenge Sunday, November 9, 2025, traveling to the WVU Coliseum to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers in a 3:00 p.m. matchup broadcast on ESPN+. The Mountain Hawks (1-1) are seeking their first win against West Virginia since a 59-57 victory in the 1962-63 season, trailing 5-1 in the all-time series.
Lehigh is coming off a 91-52 rout of Valley Forge, a game highlighted by a 23-point performance from Andrew Urosevic, who shot 9-for-13 from the field and 5-for-10 from three-point range. Nasir Whitlock added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Edward Benoit and Joshua Ingram each contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively. Caleb Thomas impressed with eight assists and five steals, and Hank Alvey dominated with eight points, seven rebounds, and five blocks in just 13 minutes.
West Virginia (2-0) is under the direction of first-year head coach Ross Hodge, the program’s fourth coach in four seasons following the departure of Bob Huggins in 2023. Last season, the Mountaineers finished with a 19-13 record under Darian DeVries, narrowly missing an NCAA Tournament berth. Abraham Oyeadier is the lone returning player for WVU, and Honour Huff currently leads the team in scoring with 19.5 points per game.
A Lehigh victory would mark their first win over a Power Conference opponent as defeating Mississippi State 87-73 in 2016. Following Sunday’s game, the Mountain Hawks will be off until November 14, when they travel to Rutgers for a 6:30 p.m. contest.The game will be called by Andrew Caridi, Warren Baker, and Anjelica Trinone on ESPN+. It will not be available on Fox Sports 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
