Lincoln Claims State Championship Berth After Schafer‘s Semifinal Triumph
Sioux Falls,SD – November 8,2025 – Sioux Falls Lincoln High School secured its place in the upcoming South Dakota High School Activities Association Class AA state championship game following a dramatic 72-69 victory over Sioux Falls Jefferson on November 7,2025,at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls. Senior guard Brody schafer delivered a clutch performance, scoring the game-winning basket in the final seconds to propel the Patriots to the title contest.
The win marks a notable achievement for Lincoln, returning them to the state championship game after a previous appearance in 2022. For Jefferson, the loss concludes a strong season, falling short of thier championship aspirations. The state championship game will be held on November 9, 2025, at the Sanford Pentagon, where Lincoln will face the winner of the Roosevelt/Washington semifinal.
Schafer’s late-game heroics were pivotal, finishing the night with 24 points, including the decisive shot.
