## Russian Forces Adjust Tactics Near Pokrovsk Amidst Reported Losses
Russian forces have scaled back activity in the Pokrovsk sector of the Donetsk Oblast, possibly in anticipation of reinforcements and to mitigate casualties, according to the 7th Corps of Airborne Assault Troops of the Ukrainian Army.
The Ukrainian unit reports that attempts by Russian forces to establish a logistical route via the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk have been thwarted. “The enemy’s attempts to establish a logistical route via the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk confirm this. In this area, the enemy made several attempts to transfer personnel using motor vehicles and motorcycles. The defense forces prevented him from doing so,” the unit stated on Telegram.
Recent days have also seen unsuccessful attempts by russian soldiers, disguised as civilians, to infiltrate Hrychyne, northwest of Pokrovsk. The situation remains “tense” on the outskirts of Myrnohrad, a town neighboring Pokrovsk to the east, the unit added.
Ukrainian officials estimate russian losses in the Pokrovsk sector since the beginning of the month at 71 killed and 36 wounded, though these figures remain unverifiable.
the Ukrainian unit anticipates a shift in Russian strategy following repeated unsuccessful assaults from the East. “According to our information, after numerous unsuccessful assault attempts from the East, the enemy will try to change strategy,” they stated, without providing further details.
