Los Angeles, CA – cynthia Erivo delivered a striking fashion statement at the premiere of “Wicked: One Wonderful night,” opting for a dramatic ensemble from Danielle Frankel Bridal’s Fall 2025 collection. The look signaled a powerful interpretation of the iconic Elphaba character, diverging from the fairytale aesthetic embraced by co-star Ariana Grande.
The premiere event,celebrating the highly anticipated film adaptation of the beloved broadway musical,showcased the contrasting approaches to costuming reflecting the characters’ distinct personalities. While Grande leaned into Glinda‘s ethereal quality, erivo’s ensemble-a structured pearl bustier with a fluted neckline and black tulle column skirt-evoked the gravity and emotional depth of Elphaba. stylist Jason Bolden curated the look,which was described as possessing “stage energy without the need for stage lighting.”
