FBI Adds Former Special Forces Operative to Most Wanted List for Weapons Charges, Ties to Failed Venezuela Coup Attempt
The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jordan Guy MacDonald Goudreau, a former member of the U.S.Army Special Forces, after he failed to appear for a bail revocation hearing related to weapons charges. Goudreau was added to the FBI’s Most Wanted list on November 3, wiht authorities warning he is considered armed and dangerous.
Goudreau, a Canadian-American veteran who previously served in the Canadian Army, gained notoriety for his role in ”Operation Gideon,” a 2020 attempt to infiltrate Venezuela by sea and overthrow the government of Nicolás Maduro. While he reportedly signed a preliminary agreement with associates of opposition leader Juan Guaidó to carry out the operation, both parties later publicly distanced themselves from the effort. the current FBI warrant, however, stems from separate weapons charges in Tampa, Florida, where he was scheduled to appear in court on October 31, 2025.
According to the FBI, Goudreau is wanted for failing to appear for the hearing on multiple weapons charges in U.S. Federal Court. The agency’s announcement states, “Former member of the United States Special Forces, he is considered armed and dangerous.” Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI instantly.
