Laflèche College Hosts Author Simon Boulerice to Champion Inclusive Education
Collège Laflèche recently welcomed author adn artist Simon Boulerice for an event celebrating diversity and the power of creative expression in education.Boulerice shared his personal journey, detailing how engagement with reading, writing, dance, and theater fostered his self-revelation. He emphasized the enriching impact of diversity and openness within learning environments,stating,”We have the power to value,reassure and give a push to the child so that his potential unfolds.”
Boulerice read excerpts from his books, illustrating the value of individual uniqueness. Judith Isabelle, coordinator of the Childhood Education Techniques program, noted that hosting Boulerice “reaffirms [Laflèche College’s] commitment to training educators sensitive to diversity, openness and empathy.”
The event drew students from Early Childhood education and Special Education programs, alongside faculty and staff, all focused on fostering open, caring, and creative educational practices. The presentation was part of an ongoing series of initiatives by the Childhood Education Techniques program to promote diversity in educational settings.
