Camille Cerf Confirms Bid to replace Olivier Minne as Host of Fort Boyard
Former Miss France Camille Cerf has publicly confirmed she applied for the hosting position on the popular game show Fort Boyard, recently vacated by Olivier Minne. The revelation, made in a recent interview with Follow Coffee, signals Cerf’s ambition to expand her television career and potentially become the show’s first female host.
The departure of Olivier Minne after 18 years at the helm of Fort Boyard has sparked speculation about his replacement. Cerf believes a physically fit woman would be an ideal choice, stating, “I think it would be great if it was a woman and I’ve done it plenty of times. I find that to liven up Fort Boyard, you have to be physically demanding. I’m a big woman, I think I could get this role.” This move comes as cerf also explores a potential foray into YouTube content creation, though she expresses concerns about balancing new ventures with her existing television work.
Cerf emphasized her preparedness for a YouTube launch, stating, “I know that if I go to YouTube tomorrow, I will come with something ready, square that looks like me.” However, she also admitted to fearing a “flop” and the potential negative impact on her developing television career, adding, ”I don’t want it to send bad signals to the channels.”
