Radio Hosts Complete Grueling 25-Mile Three-Legged Walk for Charity

Stoke City’s Bet365 Stadium‌ witnessed the triumphant, if weary, finish of a⁢ remarkable ‌challenge Tuesday as BBC Radio Stoke‌ breakfast show presenters⁢ Lee Blakeman and ‍Ajmal Hussain completed a 25-mile three-legged walk. The pair, tethered​ at the ankles, finished the trek⁢ in under 10 hours after setting off⁣ from the radio station at approximately 08:00 GMT.

The challenge proved ⁣physically demanding, with blakeman admitting to ‌feeling “a ‍little bit emotional” upon seeing their names displayed on the stadium’s giant scoreboards. “We were​ just in awe,” Hussain added, describing the experience as “amazing.”

Despite moments of fatigue, Hussain noted the support helped them persevere. “There were times when we had felt ⁢a little bit down during the day,but…the support…had helped spur them on,” he said.
