Saint-Girons, Ariège – ⁤A thorough health and well-being initiative brought together approximately forty organizations today at the ⁤town’s exhibition ⁢center, offering residents direct access to vital resources and expert guidance. The⁤ “Living Well in Couserans” day, a collaborative effort⁣ between ⁤the saint-Girons town ‍hall’s CCAS and the local multidisciplinary health ⁢center, aimed⁣ to ⁢empower citizens ⁤with data on social‍ services, healthcare options, preventative measures, financial aid, and‍ administrative support, alongside opportunities for sports ‌and leisure activities.This event addresses a growing need ⁤for‍ accessible health information‍ and support ⁣within the Couserans region, particularly for ​vulnerable populations​ like those affected by⁣ neurodevelopmental disorders and ​Alzheimer’s disease. With an ‌aging ‌population and increasing awareness of complex health challenges, ⁢initiatives like this are crucial for ‍proactive community care and⁤ improving quality of life. Later in ⁢the evening, a film screening and discussion of ⁢”France Alzheimer and related diseases” took place at⁢ the Max-Linder ​room, ​led by Dr. Frédéric ‍Del Mazo,head of geriatrics at the Ariège-Couserans Hospital Center.

“The day turned out​ to be⁣ a great ‌success,” noted saint-Girons​ Mayor‌ Jean-Noël Vigneau, following a tour of the event and conversations‌ with participating organizations.⁤ Éric⁤ Larroque, nurse and coordinator ⁢of the multidisciplinary health center, echoed this sentiment, having actively⁤ engaged with attendees throughout ⁤the day to ⁢facilitate connections and provide information.
