Crookers’ Phra Drops ‘Amore Liquido’ – A vinyl-Only statement on Modern Music Consumption
Rome, Italy - October 31, 2025 – Phra, known to many as one half of the electronic duo Crookers, has released his latest project, ‘Amore Liquido’ (Liquid Love), exclusively on vinyl via 42 Records. The album, described by Phra as “a freestyle album…freestyles that speak in a broad, simple, personal way and a little with the ADHD of love,” was created over nine months, spanning from the end of January 2024 to the end of September 2024.
‘Amore Liquido’ marks a departure for the producer, showcasing a more vocal and introspective side under the Phra moniker – previously used for vocal contributions to artists like Mr. Oizo. The album features contributions from Dwarf, Niccolò Polimeno, and Andrea Parente, and deliberately eschews genre conventions, prioritizing a fluid, “liquid” song form mirroring the album’s thematic focus on love.
Phra’s decision to release ‘Amore Liquido’ solely on vinyl is a direct response to the current music landscape. He states, “times aren’t the best in the music scene at the moment…if you don’t live under a rock you will have noticed that a record in which one’s love, time, work and passion is put lasts provided that a photograph on any pseudo mythomaniac platform. For this reason ’Amore Liquido’ for the moment will not find space on the platforms that you all know, but will only be sold physically in compliance with careful listening, in its entirety, in peace, without breakages.”
The album is available for purchase at https://amoreliquido.it/. Critics praise ‘amore Liquido’ for its originality and courage, highlighting its stream-of-consciousness lyrics, interpretation, and musicality.
