Eversource seeks Meter-Service Mechanic-Electric to Support New England Energy Delivery
HARTFORD, CT - October 30, 2025 – Eversource Energy, the largest energy delivery company in New England, is currently accepting applications for a Meter-Service Mechanic-Electric position. The role supports the company’s commitment to providing safe, reliable service to its 3.6 million gas and electric customers across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, and 4.3 million total electricity,natural gas,and water customers.
The Meter-Service Mechanic-Electric will focus on routine tasks such as electric meter disconnects and reconnects, handling both three-phase and single-phase work orders. The position offers an opportunity to learn and contribute to the installation, testing, removal, repair, and maintenance of electric meters.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Successful applicants will also be required to pass the CAST test and fulfill storm duty assignments as needed. The starting salary is $31.70 per step 1, with progression based on the existing union contract; details regarding benefits are available on the company’s career site.
