Jets safety Andre Cisco will undergo surgery to repair a torn ⁢pectoral⁣ muscle sustained during the teamS Week 8 victory over the Bengals, sources ‌confirmed Tuesday ⁤night. The injury will sideline Cisco indefinitely, delivering⁣ a significant blow to the Jets’ secondary.

Cisco, who signed a one-year, $8.5 million ‌contract with the Jets this offseason, had started all eight games this season, recording 41 tackles and one pass defended. While Pro Football Focus grades him 51st out of 88 qualifying safeties, his ⁤absence⁤ creates a void in the Jets’ defensive backfield and impacts their depth.
