Marseille Eyeing Midfielder Dani Ceballos in Potential Winter deal
Olympique de Marseille could bolster thier squad this winter, adding to a summer of significant transfer activity. While Brazilian striker Endrick has been linked with a move to the club, another name is gaining traction: Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
OM pursued Ceballos during the recent off-season, reportedly reaching an agreement with Real madrid. Though, the player requested time to consider the move, prompting Marseille to focus on other targets.
now, according to Spanish media outlet Fichajes on Monday, a deal for Ceballos is once again nearing completion. The proposed agreement involves a six-month loan with a mandatory purchase option of €7.5 million.
Fichajes details further financial incentives for Real Madrid, including a potential bonus of €500,000 and a 5% percentage on any future resale of the player. Sources cited by the publication claim the agreement with OM is “almost finalized.”
Ceballos has seen limited playing time this season with Real Madrid, making eight appearances across all competitions. A move to Marseille could offer the Spaniard a more prominent role within roberto De Zerbi’s squad, perhaps addressing squad depth concerns ahead of the African Cup of Nations and the 2026 season.
