UPLA Nutrition and Dietetics Launches Entrepreneurship Course for Alumni
Santiago, Chile – The Nutrition and dietetics program at Universidad Pontificia Aconcagua (UPLA) is bolstering support for its graduates with a new course focused on entrepreneurship projects, announced this week. The initiative aims to equip alumni with the skills to launch and develop their own ventures within the rapidly evolving field of nutrition and dietetics.
The program’s director maintains ongoing communication with graduates via WhatsApp, sharing job opportunities and professional development resources. This new course builds on that commitment, also seeking to strengthen connections between current students and experienced professionals through shared experiences and career insights. A future meeting day for the graduate community is also planned, offering a platform for networking and the exchange of professional journeys.
daniela Casanueva Valdés, coordinator of the Unit for links with the graduate Community and Employers (UVCE), emphasized the strategic importance of these efforts. “These conferences constitute a strategic tool to maintain the link between the university and its graduate community, and are essential for several academic, social and professional reasons,” she stated. She further highlighted the need for continuous learning in the field, noting, “In areas such as Nutrition and Dietetics, where evidence and public policies are rapidly changing, constant updating is essential to guarantee ethical, competent professional practice aligned with current health standards.”
