Second Guest Dies at Disney World’s Contemporary Resort in Recent Days
LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – A second guest has died at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort within the past week, according to the Reedy Creek Improvement district, the governing body for the resort area. Authorities confirmed the death occurred on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, but have released limited details. This follows the death of a man at the same hotel on sunday, December 25, 2022, prompting increased scrutiny of safety measures at the popular vacation destination.
The Reedy Creek Improvement District responded to a medical emergency at the Contemporary Resort around 8:40 PM on Tuesday. The guest was pronounced deceased at the scene. While the Orange County Sheriff’s Office investigated, they stated there were no signs of foul play. The identity of the deceased has not been publicly released, and the circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation. This incident occurs as Disney World welcomes large crowds during the holiday season, raising concerns about guest well-being and the potential for further incidents.
The previous death on December 25th involved a man who fell from a building at the Contemporary Resort.authorities also determined that death was not suspicious. Disney officials have expressed their condolences to the families affected by both tragedies and are cooperating with law enforcement.
