The Association des professionnels de la construction et de l’habitation du Québec (APCIQ) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director, Marketing for a temporary position. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading professional institution in the construction and housing industry.
your Role:
As Assistant Director, Marketing, you will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the APCIQ and its services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and manage a team to achieve organizational objectives. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting and advising managers and teams across the organization in their projects and activities.
* Developing integrated marketing strategies and plans (including promotional campaigns and social media initiatives) and overseeing their execution.
* Creating various marketing tools and promotional materials to support departmental activities, events, continuing education programs, and internal/external initiatives.
* Collaborating closely with the Deputy Directors responsible for content production and community life.
* Managing multi-faceted projects from inception to completion, including information gathering, execution, coordination, and approvals – all while adhering to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Supervising a team of two unionized employees.
* Fostering a positive work environment and motivating team members to achieve organizational goals.
What We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing,communications,administration,or a related field.
* 7 to 10 years of experience in marketing and communications, with demonstrated experience in developing digital strategies.
* minimum 2 years of experience in personnel management, including experience with both unionized and non-unionized employees.
* Fluency in French and a functional level of English,both written and spoken,to ensure accurate content validation for both French- and English-speaking audiences.
* Proven ability to simplify and communicate complex information effectively.
* Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy.
* A proactive approach to staying informed about industry trends and best practices.
* Sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to rigor.
* Positive leadership qualities.
* Proficiency in the MS Office suite and various digital and social media platforms.
* Experience in a communications and marketing agency is considered a notable asset.
* Knowledge of the real estate field is an additional asset.
