Grisolles College Unveils Aspiring Plan for Student Success & Wellbeing
Grisolles, France - Collège de grisolles has launched a comprehensive new project d’établissement, outlining key pedagogical and educational goals for the coming years, officials announced this week. The initiative, spearheaded by Principal Jean-Marc Robin in his second year leading the institution, prioritizes student achievement and wellbeing through four core pillars: equity, community engagement, civic responsibility, and a supportive learning surroundings.
This project arrives at a pivotal moment for French education, as schools nationwide navigate evolving student needs and strive for greater inclusivity. The plan impacts all students, faculty, and parents connected to Collège de Grisolles, aiming to foster a positive school climate and equip young people with the skills needed to thrive. The detailed document, now available on the college’s e.magazine, signals a commitment to long-term, systemic betterment and a shift towards a culture of “bienveillance” and “intelligence collective.”
Principal Robin emphasized the project’s central aim: “To make our collège ever more equitable, welcoming, and innovative, placing the academic success and wellbeing of students at the heart of everything we do.” The first axis focuses on creating an equitable and ambitious learning environment to maximize the potential of every student.
Beyond academics, the plan envisions a collège deeply connected to its local community. This includes expanding cultural and sporting opportunities, forging partnerships with local organizations, and actively promoting student engagement through citizenship initiatives and gender equality programs.
Several concrete actions are already underway, including the installation of new seating in the school courtyard, the construction of an outdoor stage, and the introduction of classroom libraries. Students in the 4ème grade will participate in educational trips, while the collège will also launch an e.magazine and, soon, a web radio station.
Recognizing the importance of future planning, the project places a “grande priorité” on career guidance. This will involve workshops for 3ème students, company visits for 5ème students, a dedicated orientation week in December, and observation internships for 4ème students during school breaks.
“This isn’t simply a new project; it’s a genuine school-wide culture built around two key words: bienveillance and intelligence collective,” Robin stated. “Listening, respect, dialog, and cooperation must guide our actions every day.”
