Automechanika Johannesburg Celebrates a Decade with Move to gallagher Convention centre
Automechanika Johannesburg will celebrate its tenth anniversary from October 28-30, 2025, at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.Organized by Messe Frankfurt SA, the event will focus on key areas within the automotive industry including parts and components, accessories, customization, digital solutions, repair & maintenance, car wash & reconditioning, and electronics & systems.
Messe Frankfurt SA Managing Director Michael Dehn highlighted the event’s role as a crucial platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, designed to drive progress across the automotive and logistics sectors. ”The show offers a targeted agenda aligned to the sector’s most urgent challenges and opportunities, whether you’re a workshop owner, fleet manager, supplier, or strategist in transport and logistics,” he stated.
The event’s agenda includes several key conferences and showcases. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) conference will explore “The Latest Developments in New Energy vehicles,” bringing together regional transport and logistics leaders. Collision repair professionals, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), insurers, and suppliers will convene at the Crash Repairers Association (CRA) Conference – a paid event – to discuss emerging repair standards, technologies, and enduring practices.
A free-to-attend session, the Right to Repair SA Talk, will address “Access to Technical Information – A Vital Piece in the Puzzle,” examining the importance of open vehicle data access for workshops, mechanics, and aftermarket businesses. The MIWA Spanner Torque Pavilion will onc again connect the entire repair and maintenance ecosystem, from component manufacturers to end users.
Further highlights include the Alexandra Automotive Industrial hub Showcase and a panel discussion hosted by the city of Johannesburg, themed “Unlocking opportunities: Empowering Township SMMEs in the Automotive Value Chain.”
