Phoenix Suns to be Without Jalen Green for Two More Games
The Phoenix Suns will continue without Jalen Green in the lineup, as he’s been ruled out for both the October 26th game against the Los Angeles Clippers and the October 28th matchup, according to the team’s latest injury report. Green is the only Suns player currently listed as out.
This absence underscores a developing concern for the Suns, who recognized Green’s scoring importance during their season opener against the Sacramento Kings. While Phoenix secured a comeback victory, the team visibly struggled to generate consistent offense alongside Devin Booker, a role Green is expected to fill. The Suns are proceeding cautiously with Green’s recovery from a soft tissue injury, especially after he re-aggravated it earlier this month.
The team is prioritizing a measured return for Green, who hadn’t missed a regular season game as February 2023, and is taking a similar approach with other players returning from injury. Mark Williams, who missed all of the preseason due to injury history, was brought off the bench with a minutes restriction in the Kings game.
Suns assistant coach Kevin Ott stated Green would be on the road trip, adding, “Jalen just continues to progress. Now we’re going on the road,so (with) the lack of practise time,we’re gonna have to get a little creative, but he’ll be on our road trip and just continue to progress, see where he ends up at the end of the road trip.”
The Clippers will also be without a player, as Jordan Miller is listed as out with left hamstring soreness.
