viktoria Plzeň faces a challenging Europa League match against AS Roma at the Olympic Stadium tonight at 9 p.m., seeking a breakthrough against a formidable opponent known for its strong defense and relentless pressing. The match marks Martin Hyský’s European debut as Viktoria’s coach.
Roma currently leads Serie A,despite a recent 0-1 defeat against Inter, and has shown mixed results in the Europa League, winning 2-1 against Nice but losing 0-1 at home to Lille. Viktoria will need to overcome Roma’s defensive strength and offensive threats, including Argentinian matías Soulé and 2022 World Champion Paul Dybala.
“I wouldn’t argue with that. We certainly know what kind of quality awaits us. AS defends very well, is active without the ball, presses high. It doesn’t let the opponent breathe.I believe we will find a way to succeed,” said Viktoria coach Martin Hyský.
