Washington Capitals Complete Homestand with 4-1 Victory Over Seattle Kraken

WASHINGTON, D.C. ​- The Washington Capitals concluded their homestand​ with a ⁢decisive 4-1⁤ win​ against the Seattle Kraken ⁤on ​Tuesday night. The victory showcased strong offensive contributions and dominant defensive play, particularly through the first⁤ two periods.

Nic​ Dowd scored his first goal of the 2025-26 season,capitalizing on a‍ play initiated by Brandon Duhaime⁣ and assisted by John Carlson. Duhaime’s ‍zone entry and pass were ⁣highlighted by head ⁤coach Spencer Carbery, who recently emphasized Duhaime’s advancement in making those types of plays more consistently.

Ryan Leonard also found the back of the net twice, with one shot ‌earlier in the game⁢ hitting the crossbar.

The Capitals will have a day⁣ off⁤ Wednesday before practicing at MedStar capitals Iceplex on Thursday. ‌They will then⁤ travel to Columbus to face​ the Blue Jackets on Friday night.
