ikebukuro to Host Youth Futsal tournament This November
TOKYO – The Tokyu S Reyes Football School Ikebukuro will host the Reyes 4v4 Cup on November 3rd, offering a competitive futsal experience for young athletes. The tournament, designed for U10 teams, will take place at the Adidas Futsal Park Ikebukuro, providing a platform for skill growth and spirited competition.
This event provides a focused, small-sided game habitat for U10 players, emphasizing quick decision-making and close ball control – crucial skills for future football development. Four teams will participate in 10-minute matches, adhering to specific rules including a shot clock of 20 seconds after crossing the halfway line, and scoring values of 2 points for goals outside the penalty area and 3 points inside.
The Reyes 4v4 Cup will be held at Adidas Futsal Park Ikebukuro, located on the 6th floor/rooftop of Yamada Denki LABI Ikebukuro Main Store (1-5-7 Higashiikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo 170-0013), a three-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. The facility is open from 15:00-23:00 on weekdays and 10:30-23:00 on weekends and holidays. Participants can reach the venue by phone at 03-5953-2270.
Entry fees are 660 yen per person (total 1,320 yen). Players should bring their uniform (bibs will be provided if needed), appropriate footwear (no spikes), shin guards, a drink, and a towel. Teams are also responsible for providing a clear identifier for their goalkeeper - a captain’s mark,bib,or gloves are acceptable.
Organizers have stated the event will proceed regardless of rain, but will be postponed in the event of predicted thunderstorms, with a decision communicated to parents via email by 4:00 pm on the day of the event. Participants should be aware that the event is not covered by insurance.
