Federline explained his decision to write the book after years of consideration, stating he waited until his children were older to avoid adding to their burdens. He asserts the memoir is his opportunity to share ”my version” of events, countering years of media narratives and commentary from others. he also denies accusations of financial dependence on Spears, claiming he was “out there hustling, grinding, investing -working to build a solid foundation for myself and my kids.” Federline said he remained silent for years to protect his family and provide his children with a “normal life,” but ultimately felt compelled to share his story.
