Bouna Sarr, the ‍Senegalese ​full-back who failed to establish himself during ​a four-year spell‍ with FC Bayern Munich, is reportedly‍ contemplating retirement.According to British​ portal “SportsBoom,” ‌the 33-year-old ⁤is weighing ⁢up ending his ⁣career due to⁤ a persistent injury history.

Sarr joined Bayern from Olympique Marseille in October ⁣2020 for⁣ around eight⁤ million euros, intended to add depth to the⁤ squad. However, he made only 33 appearances in four years, totaling 1,293 minutes⁣ of⁢ action. injuries repeatedly ⁢hampered his progress, preventing a breakthrough⁤ into the first ‌team.

His contract with Bayern expired ⁢in the summer​ of⁢ 2024, ⁢leaving him without a club.‌ Key injuries included a 63-day absence in 2022 due to ⁢a⁢ patellar tendon injury,‌ which ruled‌ him out of the 2022 World Cup ‌in‍ Qatar following a subsequent knee operation. A torn cruciate ligament in November 2023, requiring a six-month ​recovery, ultimately ended his time at Bayern ⁣and may now signal​ the end of his professional career.
