another Restaurant Closes at Culebra Road Location
The building at 1611 Culebra Road in San antonio is once again seeking a tenant after SL Asian Food, a recently opened Asian buffet, unexpectedly closed its doors. The restaurant, which served dishes like fried rice and teriyaki chicken, launched earlier this year.
According to a post by property owner Rodriguez,the closure was due to a family medical emergency that forced the tenants to leave town. Rodriguez noted that customers continue to visit the location and attempt to place orders using the phone number posted outside.
MySA reached out to Rodriguez for comment but did not receive a response by the time of publication. Attempts to contact SL Asian Food were also unsuccessful, as the restaurant’s listed phone number had been changed. While the restaurant’s online ordering platform through Menufy remains active, it is not currently accepting orders.
A visit to the property on Friday, October 17, revealed remaining signage and decor from SL Asian Food, alongside newly posted “for lease” signs. The location has seen a revolving door of restaurants, previously housing Juany’s Taqueria #2, El Burrito Tapatio, and Taquitos y Antojitos Culebra, according to Google records.
